What to Expect From Your First Visit
To capitalize on your optimal oral health, the first step for us is to review your previous medical and dental history. Your periodontal health, and ultimately, gum disease, may be affected by an array of factors that can lead up to impaired oral health, and we want to make sure that you are aware of these factors. Smoking, diabetes, pregnancy, stress and other heredity factors can have an impact on your dental health, and that is why we ask that you regularly attend your oral exams and cleanings.
During your exam, we will closely evaluate your mouth for any signs of periodontal disease and other oral concerns. Digital x-rays will give us a quick look into the health of your teeth and supporting bone tissue. After our examination, we will discuss your current condition with you and address a treatment plan.
