Digital Imaging
Dr. Cavallari chooses carefully which and when radiographs are taken. There are many guidelines that we follow. Radiographs are used to diagnose or treat patients by recording images of the internal structure of the mouth to assess the presence or absence of disease, foreign objects, or anomalies. Radiographs enable us to detect cavities in between your teeth, determine bone level, and analyze the health of your bone. We can also examine the roots and nerves of teeth, diagnose lesions such as cysts or tumors, as well as assess damage when trauma occurs.
Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. Dr. Cavallari utilizes Digital Imaging Technologies within the office. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 50 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging can also help us retrieve valuable diagnostic information. We may be able to see cavities better.
Digital imaging allows us to store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies.

i-CAT 3-D CT SCAN
Our CT scanner is state-of-the-art technology that assists Dr. Cavallari in diagnosing potential issues more accurately and in providing patient’s treatment with unprecedented confidence. Unlike a traditional spiral CT scanner, this 3D system utilizes cone beam CT technology and provides precise, crystal-clear, digital images while minimizing your exposure to radiation.
Our new 3D system enables us to perform a wider range of diagnoses and treatments in our office, helping to reduce multiple visits. The scanner especially aides Dr. Cavallari in the ability to strategically plan complicated surgery cases.
PerioLase MVP-7
The PerioLase® MVP-7 is a laser that operates at a specific wavelength to vaporize bacteria deep within the pockets of the gums while leaving healthy tissue intact. Patients undergoing this type of treatment enjoy fast healing times and more predictable results.
